And The Winner Is…
Hello to all on a crisp, early fall day here at Falling Creek. Some of you left weeks ago, while others just left days ago after Family Camp. It was a great summer, and we appreciate the feedback many of you gave us on the End of Summer staff survey. While we’re beyond the Aug 30 deadline for the gift card drawing, we’d still very much welcome your insights from the summer.
As for that drawing, this year we have three winners to announce. You may be able to catch our video on the socials, but the winner of the $100 gift card is…Alma Sanchez! And the winners of the two $50 gift cards are Jackson Schlierf and Lee Fickling! Congrats to all three of you - and thanks to all for feedback. Your positive comments and constructive criticism will make us better in the coming summers!
2025 Staff Application Goes Live Sept 16
At the beginning of the summer, one of the first things we said to the staff was, “We’re recruiting now for next summer, so we hope you have such a great experience that you’ll want to come back!” Now, we know that’s not how it works out for everyone, but based on conversations we’ve had with many of you, we expect to have a solid returning crew for 2025!
If you already plan to submit your re-app, remember that our staff application will go live on Monday, September 16. We plan to recruit our Cabin Line leadership this fall and activity leadership into the early part of next year. Not everyone can make that sort of commitment this early, but for those who can…we look forward to seeing your re-apps come through soon!
Staff Reunion at Camp: November 1-2
Remember the good ol’ times…squeezing onto the front porch (or not!) for Morning Assembly?! We think most of you would agree - working at camp can be super hard, but there’s something very special about overcoming obstacles and growing together in such an amazing community!
If you’d like to relive a little of that magic, while also taking in the spectacular Green River Race, we’d love for you to come back to the mountain for our staff reunion on November 1 and 2. Save the date…more details and an official invite to come!
