We are seeking RNs (or similar level) able to practice in North Carolina, who have an appreciation for boys and the capacity to care for them while embracing a rural setting.
Nurses may serve between 1-10 weeks of the 2025 summer season, depending on your availability.
Dates: Periods of 1-10 weeks, between June 8th - August 15th, 2025.
Pay: $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 per week.
Nurse Position Description
As a nurse at Falling Creek Camp, you would serve on a medical team of 4 nurses and a physician that live on-site. We are a traditional, residential summer camp for boys (grades 1-12) situated on a private mountaintop of over 900 wooded acres in Western North Carolina.
We feature a wide range of activities, and a wilderness trips program. There are 312 campers and 150 staff on camp during each session. We offer excellent salaries determined by experience and qualifications, room & board, laundry facilities, and an air-conditioned private room with Wi-Fi within a renovated health center.
Job Requirements
Nurses are a valued member of the camp community and staff. Working with other members of the medical team, the nurses’ responsibilities include promoting and monitoring the health of both campers and staff, providing basic health care services, keeping accurate records, medication administration, maintenance of first aid kits, parent communication, stocking and cleaning the infirmary and ward, and caring for campers overnight in the infirmary.
Camp nurses are required to live on campus and encouraged to engage in camp activities and events when possible.
